In an age where lavish color and effects often compensate for style, the Perre Twins have taken an opposite approach. In their newest works the brothers have restricted themselves to a sparse color pallet – red, black and white. The absence of color accentuates every line so that the outline jumps to the forefront. The drawings have the aesthetics of Jack’s ,Queen’s and King’s pulled from a deck of playing cards. The meticulous lines and intricate patterns presented in such a minimalist fashion makes the brothers’ work instantly recognizable and unique.
